It’s about 30. The most common and loudest is the pant-hoot, a long-distance call used for a variety of social reasons, but particularly for keeping in touch with fellow troop members.

One study in Kibale National Park, Uganda, found that males were more likely to reunite with other males on days when they pant-hooted more.
